My Miserable Experience

This was the worst experience in 20+ years of home ownership. We had only four windows and a door replaced. The door needed multiple followup visits for several issues, including the door being twisted during installation, wrong hardware and many unnecessary holes in the frame. Basically, we couldn't open the door since it wasn't straight. It is a nuisance going through the service department to get the work redone properly. We would have been better off keeping our old door.

The windows did not pass inspection repeatedly for multiple reasons. They mailed us pictures of a different house to use for one of the inspections since the job was not done to code. Their rep told me to get with the city inspector to ask what he needs. The regional manager went so far as to say the City  keeps changing the building codes. The City denied that. Everything about this process has seemed deceptive, including documentation stating the owner personally inspected the job for code compliance on two occasions. Window World had to send a crew out for a fourth time since the buck strips were never replaced. It took 132 days for them to finally pass inspection.

Overall, we were incredibly frustrated by the lack of followup and lack of concern. The customer service department and their manager are combative and do not care. If you want to judge their responsiveness for yourself, call them for “service” and see if anyone picks up the phone or returns your call.

The regional manager said he's not able to issue compensation. The company amazingly "does not have the ability" to transfer funds back to a customer.

This has been a huge mistake and unnecessarily frustrating. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. To top things off, one installer even smoked while putting in the windows.

I would recommend any company other than Window World to install windows or doors.
